About Us 
 
Inter-Line Inter-Line was founded as a dry-lining contracting company in 1976 but at times struggled sourcing its own material requirements.  
 
In due course the current directors, Stan and Beryl Moreing, saw an opportunity to fill a void in the supply chain and then started to supply plasterboard and dry-lining products to other contractors in the area from the company’s first premises in Broomhill Way, Torquay. 
 
The increase in demand for products made the company focus on supply and in 1986 moved to a larger unit on the Woodlands Estate in Torquay, by which time we had become solely a builder’s merchant. Further diversification into new product lines, driven by customer demand, necessitated the following changes to our branch infrastructure: 
 
 
 
 
 
 
1989 new warehouse acquired in Minerva Court, Torquay 
 
1994 new branch opened in Paignton 
 
1995 new branch opened in Brixham 
 
1997 acquired new warehouse/shop in Woodland Close 
 
2001 new branch opened in Exeter 
 
2005 new warehouse acquired in Minerva Court 
 
2007 Exeter branch relocated from a unit with under 10,000 sq feet of warehouse to one which boasts 30,000 
 
2009 New branch opened in Totnes 
 
2011 Paignton Branch re-located to new site at Yalberton Industrial Estate 
 
2011 Appointment of three New Directors, Andrew Moreing Commercial Director, Darren Moreing Fleet & Operations Director and Neil Robinson Finance Director 
 
This expansion has been reflected in our sales figures which has increased by an average of 12.5% year on year for the last 15 years. Our infrastructure now gives us some 60,000 square feet of under cover storage and at Torquay the latest timber racking systems that are all covered.  
 
We also have a fleet of 14 delivery vehicles ranging in gross weight from 2.5 to 32 tonnes, 12 of which have crane off loading facilities which service a large proportion of Devon. We try to offer a next day delivery service of products from stock and have improved our flexibility and customer service further from having tracking devices fitted to all our vehicles. 
 
 
To further enhance our service we believe in offering you, the customer, the products you need from stock. This is not always feasible but we do endeavour to provide a one stop shop solution with 15,000 stock lines available from our branch network, the total value of which is in the region of £750,000. 
 
A significant year in our history was 2003 when we were invited to join a co-operative of like minded independent merchants across the country, called the National Buying Group, who now boast over 70 members with a combined turnover of £750m. This development has helped us remain competitive against the national merchants, given us the opportunity to develop further product lines and have confidence in the quality of the products we offer that are sourced from leading manufacturers. 
 
Our friendly knowledgeable staff (who number over 60) are pleased to respond to the smaller or larger, trade or DIY enquiries alike. Nothing is too much trouble and we pride ourselves on the level of service we offer, from offering meaningful advice on solutions and the products needed to achieve this, through to supplying those products you require when and where you want them.
